Shoot 5 - Personal Response to Hans Eijkelboom

Personal Response To Typology and Hans Eijkelboom

These shoots was inspired by the idea of Han's work and also by typology. From looking at Han's I wanted my own theme running through my images, so I selected the idea of every day objects which us humans use, which were our hands and I also did a shoot on peoples Fronts Doors.

I chose on shoot to be on hand because we us these features everyday for many things we do, but even though they look similar I hope the out come of the shoot will let my audience realise that if you look close enough everybody is different. The shoot was successful because I was able to get the right amount of hands to complete my typology layout, another thing aswel is that I was able to achieve many different style of hands and genders. However to improve this shoot I would have to expand my shoot further and collect many more images to select a final few.

After completing the 'Hand' shoot, I used what I made mistakes on to help me develop on with this shoot; This shoot I chose to have the basis of doors, I selected this theme because again people use them everyday of there life, another reason I chose this idea is because there are many designs of them and every person always has something different and unique about there door. From the shoot I took many more photos than I did in the 'Hand' shoot, this helped me select the good quality images and also have more of variety of images for the typology. Over all I believe this shoot was more successful than the 'Hand' because I was able to achieve more images.

Final Edits

Review

To review these final edits, they both show what I have learnt from Han's research. Overall I would say the Front door shoot shows the most interesting quality because each of the images always represent that similar element but also shows the most different, and also tricks the audiences mind in a way. What I do like about each of the final outcome of this shoot is the Layout of each of the final edits, it very simple but also makes the image look very effective.

To sum up though I will not be developing this experiment with this shoot further because I can not symbolise and develop more knowledge about multiple images and also the use of combining two images together which is a strong idea I believe which will present multiple images the best.
