Shoot 3- Oliver Morris Inspired Shoot

Film Photographic Shoot Inspired by Oliver Morris

I was inspired to do this shoot in film because it gives my photos a different effect and feel when it comes to the overall finish product. It also widens my knowledge on different technique of combining two images together to get the result of 'multiple images'.

From looking at the two contact list I like the way the black and white imagery gives the images a real old fashion feel and I also like the way the whiteness highlights the bright parts and the black/grey keeps the detail and the image balance.

The first contact list was a shooting of a landscape like Oliver Morris did, I tried to get similar images to his, like the ones with the trees because I like the way the human figure was placed and shown in the image. What I liked about this shoot was the many different compositions I was able to collect, giving me more combination to use when combining with the second shoot.

The second Contact sheet its using the idea of human figures, but for my personal investigation I based the shoot on facial expressions, my reason for doing this is it gives the images a connection with the audience and also a sense of delicacy and thought behinde them. Also in all of Oliver's work the models facial expression were very sensitive I thought, which made his work all the interesting to studying because it give the images the extra mystery of what the really meaning is behind the photograph.

Over both shoots went well, I was able to get the right lighting setting in each of the shoots, and also use another piece of technology. What I intended to do next is using the Red selective photo and combine each of them, this will give me my multiple image.

Final Edits

Review

When viewing this final two images, I like the way the figure sits in the image and how the model expression subtly comes through, this really gives my images a delicacy and makes my images have a sense of sensitivity. The first edit image I prefer because, the facial expression I selected works well with the forrest of trees layer. Also the images has a sense of linear, because the trees lines and the facial expression being very stern and straight, I believe this is why these two images blended best together.
However the second was just as successful but the waterfall gives the images an unbalance feeling because there is two lines of whiteness top and bottom of a cluster of water, and not even all the way through, which balance the image out.

What I Intend To Do Next

Next I'm to still incorporate the idea of nature and people together in my images, but research another photography artist that can accomplish  this using colour.
